Managing API keys across ponds

Store keys once, assign them per pond.

What it is

Keys live in one place: Settings → AI Configuration.

Any pond can point at any stored key.

Keys are encrypted at rest and never shown back in full.

Setting it up

  1. 1Add each provider key under Settings → AI Configuration and test it.
  2. 2Open each pond's gear icon and choose the model you want there.

Using it day to day

  1. 1Rotating a key updates every pond using it.
  2. 2Deleting a key drops those ponds back to House AI.
  3. 3Never paste a key into chat, a capture, or a shared Lily Pad.

Keep one spare provider configured — it's your safety net during an outage.
