Browser Extension Privacy Policy

This policy covers the GetFrogg browser extension for Google Chrome, published by MarkpMilton, LLC DBA GetFrogg.com. It explains exactly what the extension collects, when, and where it goes. The GetFrogg web service is covered by its own privacy notice.

In short: the extension sends text you deliberately highlight — plus that page's title and address — to your own GetFrogg account. It does not read anything else on the pages you visit, and it sends nothing anywhere else.

Who publishes this extension

The GetFrogg browser extension is published and operated by MarkpMilton, LLC DBA GetFrogg.com ("GetFrogg", "we", "us"). We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

Single purpose

The extension has one purpose: to capture text you highlight on a web page and send it to your GetFrogg account. Everything it collects exists to serve that purpose and nothing else.

What the extension collects

What the extension does not collect

Your browsing history, or a list of the sites you visit
Page content you have not highlighted
Anything you type into forms, search boxes, or password fields
Keystrokes, mouse movements, or screen recordings
Cookies belonging to the sites you visit
Analytics, usage tracking, advertising identifiers, or device fingerprints

The extension performs no capture on its own. Nothing is collected until you highlight text or click the frog.

Data stored on your device

The following is kept locally in your browser using chrome.storage.local and is never transmitted to us or anyone else:

Your GetFrogg browser token, so captures reach the right account
The frog's position on screen
Your chosen frog appearance and optional name
Your feeding mode preference, and a count of how many captures you have made

Removing the extension deletes all of it.

Where data is sent

getfrogg.com, and nowhere else. The extension makes requests to exactly two addresses:

https://getfrogg.com/api/extension/validate — checks that your token is valid
https://getfrogg.com/api/extension/capture — receives a capture

There are no third-party services, analytics providers, advertising networks, or content delivery networks involved. No data is sold, rented, or shared with anyone.

Permissions, and why each is needed

Permission	Why
`storage`	Saves your token and preferences in your browser. Nothing stored this way leaves your device.
`https://getfrogg.com/*`	Allows the extension to reach the two endpoints above. This is its only network destination.
Access to pages you visit `http:///`, `https:///`	You choose which page to capture from, so the extension cannot know in advance which sites it will need to run on. On each page it displays the frog and watches for text you highlight. It reads only your highlighted selection — never the rest of the page.

Limited Use

Use of information received from Google APIs and from Chrome extension permissions adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Data collected by this extension is used solely to provide the single purpose stated above. It is not transferred to third parties, not used for advertising, not used to build user profiles, not used to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes, and not read by humans except with your explicit consent, to resolve a support issue you have raised, or where required by law.

Remote code

The extension executes no remotely hosted code. All of its code is contained in the package published on the Chrome Web Store and reviewed by Google.

Data retention and deletion

Captures live in your GetFrogg account and remain until you delete them there.
Your token can be revoked at any time from your GetFrogg dashboard, which immediately stops the extension from capturing.
Local data is removed when you uninstall the extension, or when you click Disconnect in its settings.
Your account and its data can be deleted by contacting us at the address below.

Your rights

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the GDPR gives you the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to its processing. If you are a California resident, the CCPA gives you the right to know what personal information is collected, to request its deletion, and to opt out of its sale — we do not sell personal information. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below.

Children

The extension is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top and, where the change affects what is collected, notify users through the GetFrogg dashboard.
